FIELD: agriculture, in particular breeding.
SUBSTANCE: claimed method includes seed soaking and preliminary drying thereof. Before soaking any soft wheat breed is divided by three fractions, and further middle fraction is used. Seed division is carried out in dividing solutions containing distilled water, salt NaCl and sucrose in various concentrations. After seed division content ratio of α+β/γ+ω-gliadins in seed fraction is determined. Fractions wherein said ratio is less than 1 are recognized as seeds having strong wheat status useful in breeding of spring wheat strong breeds.
EFFECT: method for production of starting material for breeding of strong wheat breeds.
