FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of agriculture, namely, to selection. In the method seeds are separated into three fractions by size, then the medium fraction is used, which is soaked, dried, and seeds are separated into genotypic populations in separatory solutions. Solutions are prepared from distilled water and saccharose of various density. On completion of the seeds separation process, biochemical analysis is carried out over the ratio of α+β/γ+ω-gliadines in populations of wheat seeds. At the same time the populations with ratios below 1 are considered as complying with the status of strong wheat and suitable for use in selection of soft varieties of spring wheat.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to produce initial selection material to create soft varieties of spring wheat.
