METHOD FOR PLASTY OF GINGIVAL PAPILLA Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC A61B17/24 

FIELD: medicine, surgical stomatology.

SUBSTANCE: one should carry out prosthetics with a fixed partial denture. It is necessary to make two incisions of gingival alveolar part up to the bone; one of these incisions should be started from gingival edge at the border of central and distal third of denture's crown; another incision should be started from gingival edge at the border of medial and central third of the crown being laterally located. Incisions should be connected. Then one should make two incisions of gingival alveolar part up to the bone from the onset of previous incisions towards transitional fold of mouth vestibule, form a mucous-periosteal fragment its bottom facing the transitional fold, moreover, at distal end of this fragment two triangular fragments are developed to be applied nearer to each other and fixed with sutures. One should form a triangular mucous fragment its bottom facing gingival edge, dissect periosteum for lengthening mucous-periosteal fragment, tighten up mucous-periosteal fragment for the length of developed gingival papilla and fix towards periosteum in the site of cut triangular mucous fragment and towards gingival alveolar part with sutures. Mucous triangular fragment should be rotated and applied onto wound surface of mucous-periosteal fragment followed by fixing the fragments together with sutures and fixing towards a denture with a suture. The innovation enables to improve cosmetic results at prosthetics.
