SUBSTANCE: ball pivot comprises housing, locking lid secured by means of housing projections, pin with ball head, first insert with grooves on the inner spherical surface, second insert with grooves on the inner spherical surface that embraces ball head of the pin from the pole side and is mounted inside the first insert, and protecting casing whose inner space is filled with a lubricant. Each of the grooves in the inner spherical surfaces of the first and second inserts represents a curved line defined by the intersection of the inner spherical surface of the insert with the plane parallel to the meridional plane and shifted with respect to it at a distance ranging from 0.15 to 0.5 of the diameter of the opening of the appropriate insert.
