FIELD: chemical industry and technology.
SUBSTANCE: method involves at the first step the oxidative pyrolysis of vapor-gas mixture consisting of perchloroethylene and oxygen chosen in the mole ratio = 1:(1.00-1.15) at temperature 500-1500°C. At the second step phosgene is prepared from the prepared gaseous mixture comprising carbon oxide and chlorine. Invention provides synthesis of phosgene from perchloroethylene and oxygen with the high yield. Invention can be used in low-tonnage manufacturing high-molecular materials, biologically active substances, dyes and solvents.
EFFECT: improved preparing method.
