FIELD: high-energy density physics and nuclear fusion.
SUBSTANCE: proposed plasma liner that can be used to produce high-power soft X-rays (SXR) required for solving a number of practical problems, such as studying SXR generation processes in collapse of plasma liners produced by electrical explosion has current-conducting parts of anode and cathode with grooves made on surface of rotation, and wires installed in grooves; in addition, each wire is provided with two connecting parts and spring. First connecting part is secured on one end of wire and other one, on its other end through spring. Additionally made on current-conducting parts of anode and cathode are supporting members shifted in radial direction relative to surfaces with grooves; connecting parts of wires are installed on supporting members. Proposed method for assembling plasma liner includes connection of current-conducting parts to anode and cathode and installation of conducting parts of wires into grooves; in the process conducting parts are first relatively aligned and electron-to-electron distance is adjusted by means of mandrel. Then they are set so that projections of grooves in conducting parts of anode and cathode on surface perpendicular to symmetry axis of these parts are aligned, whereupon wires are installed and secured by means of connecting parts on supporting members of conducting parts to provide for desired tension of each wire by stretching them with aid of spring. Assembly of conducting parts, components with supporting members, wires, and guide is secured on anode and cathode; for final operation mandrel is removed. Plasma liner assembling device has mandrel with two fastening members, carriage, guide, and lock. Guide is coupled with mandrel so that carriage and guide form rotary-translational pair; lock is built integral with mandrel in the form of other-than-cylindrical side surface of the later. Wires carrying conducting parts are tightly fitted to one another at equal pressure irrespective of working position of wire assembly.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability of electric contact between wires when current is passed through them; reduced probability of damage to wires during their assembly.
