FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of pyro- and hydrometallurgical processing of molybdenum-containing raw material, in particular, containing molybdenum sulfide. Method comprises oxidation of sulfides in original raw material, crushing resulting material, leaching molybdenum into solution, filtering and rinsing leaching residue. According to invention, leaching of molybdenum is preceded by oxidation of sulfides with solid-phase oxidants used in amounts corresponding to 40-95% of stoichiometric amounts required for oxidation of sulfides and subsequent and treatment of crushed material with water at 80-95°C for 45-90 min.
EFFECT: reduced expenses on processing of molybdenum-containing raw material and reduced negative environmental impact due to reduced toxic emissions.
