SUBSTANCE: method includes additional determination of anode mass destructability in current C02 and magnitude of anode mass specific consumption is determined from the following equation: Pam=Kel.f.+333/bη+1.2(Tel.t.-960)/b+1.6PCO2/b, where Pam is specific consumption of anode mass, kg/t of aluminum; Kel.f. is electrolizer coefficient characterizing additional consumption of anode mass determined by average static annual data for each plant; η is current efficiency, fractions of unit; Tel.t. is electrolyte temperature, °C; PCO2 is index of anode mass destructability in CO2, mg/cm2/h; b is carbon extraction from anode mass to self-roasting anode, fractions of unit.
EFFECT: possibility of predicting efficiency of anode use; low cost of aluminum.
