FIELD: food-processing industry, in particular, drying equipment for lump products.
SUBSTANCE: combined drying apparatus has charging device allowing fruits and vegetables to be cut into thin parts of adjustable thickness and adapted for uniform feeding of fruits and vegetables onto needle-type carriers movable through vertical drying chamber divided by partition wall into two parts, and remover with belt conveyor adapted for discharging of dried parts from apparatus. Intensive radiation-convective drying process effectuated in first part of drying chamber is designed for softening air drying conditions with the use of air delivered from second part of apparatus, where convective additional drying of product is performed for removal of bound moisture.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of drying process through employment of needle-type carriers allowing losses during discharge of ready product to be reduced, provision for avoiding burning of product, and improved construction of drier.
