SUBSTANCE: device has light-emitting diodes having p- and n-areas as exiting electrodes. The exiting electrodes are arranged on the implant side turned towards retina as conducting needles fully covered with dielectric layer.
EFFECT: improved image quality produced by the implant; excluded retina tissue injuries with electrolytic reaction products.
