FIELD: heating of air supplied for combustion.
SUBSTANCE: recuperative heater comprises collapsible cylindrical housing composed of individual sections. The separating baffles are welded to the sections and used for generating air flow. The baffles project out of the housing, and the ratio of the diameter of the separating baffles to the outer diameter of the housing is 1.07-1.03. The cylindrical housing receives a bank of tubes that are bent at an angle of 90° and secured in the tube plates, diaphragm that separates inter-tube space into the zone for direct flow and counterflow, and air duct that connects these zones. The ratio of the length of the tube bank in the zone of counterflow to the total length of the tube bank is 0.85-0.95.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of the heater.
