FIELD: medicine, ultrasound diagnostics.
SUBSTANCE: one should measure the length of a lung (LL) in parasagittal plane coming through the top and inferior lateral edge of a lung, anterior-posterior size (APSL) and the width of a lung (WL) in cross-sectional section against fetal vertebral column at the level of 1-3 mm being above the upper point of diaphragmatic cupola, determine the volume (V) of right- and left-hand lungs. Then it is necessary to calculate the ratio of the volume of right-hand lung against left-hand one, and at its value being below 1.2 one should diagnose hypoplasia of right-hand lung and/or that of left-hand one. At values being above 1.8 one should diagnose hyperplasia of right-hand lung and/or that of left-hand one. The innovation enables to increase accuracy of diagnostics for up-to-date therapy and correction of disorders of inborn fetal pathology.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and accuracy of ultrasound diagnostics.
