FIELD: medicinal industry, pharmacy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for preparing pectins wherein violet herb (Viola canina L.) is used a raw. Method involves preliminary extraction of raw with 70% ethyl alcohol in water bath at 95° in the ratio raw-extractant = 1:5 for 1 h followed by filtering off. The raw residue is poured with hot water and extracted at heating to 95°C in the ratio raw-extractant = 1:20 for 1 h followed by filtering off. Then the raw residue is extracted with 0.5% oxalic acid solution in the ratio raw-extractant = 1:10 at 70°C, 3 times by 1 h. The vegetable material is separated by filtration and combined acid extracts are evaporated. Pectins are precipitated with 4-fold amount of 96% ethyl alcohol at room temperature, formed precipitate is washed out with 96% ethyl alcohol and dried. Invention provides increasing yield of the end product.
EFFECT: improved preparing method.
