DECLINE OVERHEAD BELT CONVEYOR Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC B65G15/08 B65G43/06 

FIELD: mechanical engineering; conveyors.

SUBSTANCE: proposed decline overhead-belt conveyor contains endless belt closed in vertical plane and forming upper carrying run and lower return run with brackets attached to belt sides on which running rolls are installed for engagement with guides secured on posts. Each post is provided with cross brace arranged with minimum clearance under return run of belt. Flexible members are arranged between carrying and return runs of belt whose free ends are secured on conveyor posts. Sag of flexible members measured square to plane of inclined section of conveyor is found from equation h<1≤h/cosβ where 1 is sag of flexible member; h is sag of belt carrying run measured from point of attachment of flexible member square to plane of inclined section of conveyor; β is angle of tilting of conveyor.

EFFECT: provision of catching of carrying and return runs in case of breakage of belt, possibility of use of conveyor as decline one.
