METHOD OF PRODUCTION OF THE LIQUID GLASS Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC C01B33/32

Abstract RU 2285665 C1

FIELD: soap industry; fat-and-oil industry; chemical industry; mechanical engineering; textile industry; paper industry; construction industry; metallurgy; method of production of the liquid glass.

SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to processing technique of production of liquid glass with the various silica ratio and used in soap industry, fat-and-oil industry, chemical industry, mechanical engineering, textile industry, paper industry and also in construction industry, metallurgy. The liquid glass is produced using hydrothermal treatment 0f the silica-containing substance with the sodium hydroxide water solution. As the initial silica-containing substance use the residue gained after lixiviation of the serpentinite by the hydrochloric acid - the amorphous silicon dioxide having the specific surface of no less than 250 m2/g and containing no less than 4 hydroxyl groups per 1 (nm)2 and no more than 0.1 % of the dissolved in alkalis impurities with the size of no more than, 800 microns and the solution of the sodium hydroxide with concentration of 100-150 g/dm3 taken in the amount of 110-130 % with respect to stoichiometry. The produced suspension is filtrated for withdrawal of the non-reacted residue. The solution is concentrated for production of the liquid glass with the preset modulus and density. The technical result of the invention is expansion of the raw-material base for production of the liquid glass and improvement of its quality.

EFFECT: the invention ensures expansion of the raw-material base for production of the liquid glass and improvement of its quality.
