FIELD: furniture industry, in particular, manufacture of sofa transformable into bed.

SUBSTANCE: transformable piece of furniture has stationary carcass including rear wall and sides rigidly secured with one another, double-upholstered back pivotally fixed with its rear part on sides of stationary carcass, rollable box equipped with rollers in its lower part, seat placed onto rollable box, two-pivot tie-rods, with one of pivots being fixed on rollable box and other pivot being fixed on double-upholstered back, in its upper part. Back is connected with pivot secured on side of stationary part of sofa by means of bracket in such a manner that axis of rotation of back is protruding beyond plane of back.

EFFECT: improved convenience in utilization of furniture piece in its "sofa" position, reduced sizes, in particular, decreased height of furniture piece in "sofa" position.
