SUBSTANCE: method involves formation on steel surface of protective coating in the form of oxide film through processing of steel - liquid metal medium contacting site by flow of lead or melt thereof, containing oxygen with thermodynamic activity of 10-4 - 100, while introducing into lead or lead melt flow of carbon dioxide or mixture thereof with inert gas - up to 50% of volume weight.
EFFECT: increased steel durability during utilization thereof in lead heat-carrier and melts thereof.
