FIELD: oil production industry, particularly to prospect and exploit oil, gas and hydrogen sulfide containing deposits.

SUBSTANCE: method involves using hydrogen sulfide indicator, which indicates hydrogen sulfide presence in water to be injected for formation pressure maintaining. H2S concentration in water to be injected is reduced up to zero value by continuous supply of hydrogen sulfide neutralizer having bactericide properties in water conduit between pumping station and injection well. If hydrogen sulfide concentration in producing well product decreases within predetermined time period after neutralizer supplying in injection well line one may determine that hydrodymanic connection between the wells is perfect.

EFFECT: reduced costs of taken sample analyzing along with increased time of underground well equipment service time, possibility to determine direction of main filtering channel used for water injection in formation and decreased oil field equipment corrosion wear.
