FIELD: tool-making industry, control-measuring equipment for automobile industry, possible use for measuring level of liquid, primarily in closed type reservoirs, for example, fuel in the tank.
SUBSTANCE: device contains bar with a float and permanent magnets, connected by one end to the middle of side wall of reservoir by means of a joint, and immobile magneto-sensitive Hall element, connected to signal-processing processor block. Poles of magnets are oriented similarly and magnets form a homogeneous flat-parallel magnetic field between them, which can rotate relatively to axis of joint during movement of the float. Hall element is positioned between magnets in horizontal plane. Float contains two resilient elements - lower one and upper one. Two variants of realization of float with resilient elements are described: float is filled with gas under pressure, exceeding atmospheric pressure, while at least upper and lower parts of float frame are made resilient, for example, rubber-like; - on rigid frame of float two ribbon-like elements are held - lower one and upper one - in form of arcs of circles, working in bending direction, made with possible adjustment of rigidity. Rigidity coefficient for each ribbon spring element is selected so that limit value of bending deformation of spring element is achieved when float touches bottom of reservoir for resilient lower element and top of reservoir for resilient upper element respectively when liquid is absent or when reservoir is completely full. Hall element is made anisotropic along perpendicular to Hall plate with possible adjustment of signal divergence coefficient depending on direction of magnetic field. It is mounted appropriately to compensate for nonlinearity of value of immersion of float in the liquid.
EFFECT: increased precision when measuring level of liquid in closed type reservoirs.
