SUBSTANCE: one should carry out cytological study of epithelial conjunctiva followed by analyzing the quantity of unaltered and keratinized epithelial cells in conjunctival sample to calculate a prognostic coefficient (PC) due to dividing the first value by the second by a certain formula, and at values of 5.6-1.2 one should predict favorable flow of the process and at 1.11-0.2 - unfavorable flow at high risk of corneal complications.
EFFECT: higher accuracy and efficiency of prediction.
