FIELD: powder metallurgy, processes for making bimetallic sleeves of sliding bearing assemblies used in different branches of machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of applying on inner surface of hollow cylindrical blank powder layer in the form of slip containing powder material and plasticizing agent. Said powder layer is pre-pressed due to heating tool of material with shape memory effect placed inside blank till temperature of reverse martensite conversion of tool material and soaking it for time period necessary for sublimating plasticizing agent whose sublimation temperature is no more than temperature of reverse martensite conversion of tool material.
EFFECT: simplified manufacturing process, lowered labor consumption, improved efficiency of process, enhanced quality of articles.
