FIELD: semi-convective forced pneumatic system for heating glass sheets.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in forming nozzles which suck-in hot air from furnace, mix it with compressed air and blow hot mixture onto glass. Furnace includes heating chamber, longitudinal conveyer running through heating chamber, compressed air source and many pneumatic tubes oriented in parallel with conveyer. Each pneumatic tube is connected with compressed air source; tubes are provided with several nozzles mounted in them at equal distance. Each nozzle has upper inlet for admitting the hot air from furnace and hole in side wall for admitting the compressed air, mixing chamber for mixing the compressed air with furnace air for forming hot mixture and lower outlet for escape of mixture onto glass sheets in furnace chamber.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency.
