FIELD: drilling and blasting operations in hard rocks, applicable in various branches using blasting operations in rock masses.
SUBSTANCE: the blast hole has a cylindrical shaft with the lower section filled with an explosive charge, and the upper section filled with a tamping material, in which a recess filled with the tamping material is made, the maximum diameter of the recess equals 1.5-3 diameters of the hole. The recess is made in the form of a truncated cone, which on the side of the larger base is filled with an explosive at least by 10% of the height.
EFFECT: provided effective breaking of rocks due to a multiple enhancement of the locking effect of tamping by increasing the quantity of the tamping material involved in motion from the recess.
