FIELD: ferrous metallurgy; converter-type steel making process.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in introducing solid material and flux into molten slag of previous heat, pouring molten cast iron and lancing bath with oxygen; solid gas-producing agent at total content of gas of 0.1-15 volume of working space of converter is additionally introduced into molten slag, slag is foamed and is raised to height of 0.15-1 of converter height, after which slag is held in this position for 0.1-5 min at maintenance of continuous flow of gas at rate of 0.2-20 m/s. Gas at flow rate of 25-300 m3/min is additionally blown into slag. During holding, converter is periodically inclined at angle of 0-90° to level at interval of 10-60 s.
EFFECT: reduced wear of lining.
