FIELD: processes for producing electrical steel strips with oriented grains.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of casting silicon steel in casting machine; solidifying steel in the form of strip with thickness 1.5 - 4 mm; coiling strip; cold rolling of it for one or several stages at intermediate annealing for achieving final thickness 1 - 0.15 mm. Then strip is subjected to continuous annealing for primary recrystallization. After solidification of strip and before coiling it, conversion of ferrite to austenite in crystalline lattice of metal is induced for volume fraction 25 - 60% by controlling steel content in such a way that austenite fraction with balanced stable state of two phases may exist in flow of casting machine. Said conversion is induced by hot rolling of strip between two cooled rolls for achieving deformation more than 20% in temperature range 1000 - 1300°C.
EFFECT: improved quality of steel strip due to its enhanced magnetic properties.
