FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves cutting out scleral graft in front of the place where vorticose vein exits from scleral canal. The graft is 9 mm long, 6 mm wide and 150-200 mcm thick and turned with its base towards limb. Graft top has recess formed as half-circle from the vorticose vein side which radius is greater than the vein radius by 0.3 mm. The flap is thrown towards the limb. Perforating excision of deep sclera layers is carried out from graft base towards the vorticose vein exit from the scleral canal to vascular tunic along the suprachoroid and intrascleral parts of the vorticose vein to its full release. Allograft exceeding scleral defect in size by 2 mm is placed in excised sclera part projection. The allograft is attached to sclera with interrupted sutures. Episcleral flap is placed over the allograft and also attached to sclera with sutures.
EFFECT: voluminous penetrating sclera excision; widening exposed vorticose vein portion all its length long; stimulated venous discharge; reduced risk of traumatic complications.
