FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to non-destructive testing and can be used for automated ultrasonic inspection of railway wheels. Plant for automated ultrasonic inspection of railway wheels comprises a frame, a device for loading with vertical orientation of the wheel into a submersible tank of immersion type, software for wheel control and automatic data evaluation, wheel control device. Plant for automated ultrasonic inspection of railway wheels also comprises measuring modules for monitoring the wheel rim in axial and radial directions with ultrasonic transducers positioned relative to the side rolling surface of the wheel rim and the rolling surface, respectively, measuring modules for monitoring hub and wheel disc with ultrasonic transducers; measuring modules for control of wheel hub and disc with ultrasonic transducers are positioned during inspection on diametrically opposite sections of disc and wheel hub. Measuring modules for controlling wheel rim in axial and radial directions and measuring modules for controlling wheel hub and disc are located in one horizontal plane.
EFFECT: increased specific efficiency of the installation for automated ultrasonic inspection of railway wheels.
