FIELD: agriculture and agricultural engineering, in particular, processes and technique for primary processing of licorice crude roots and rootstocks to produce basic medicinal and technical raw material for a number of branches of industry.
SUBSTANCE: line has root mass accumulator equipped with weighing machine, plant contaminants and mineral garbage removal unit equipped with loading and unloading devices, spraying device, immersed or fecal pumps, pipelines with solid sediment accumulators, water intake device, excessive moisture drainage and preliminary drying platform, root grinding device equipped with knife drum and shear plate, inclined screw-type conveyor, drum drier with air heater for drying of ground material with hot air, cyclone for settling dust particles of cork and bast fiber layers of licorice and flue gas, conveyors for feeding of corrugated containers with moisture isolating material and dispensing of ready packed product onto weighing equipment. Line is further equipped with root and rootstock rolling unit which is provided with sequentially arranged five blocks consisting of paired drive rolls, with space therebetween reducing in feeding direction. First block has corrugated rolls made in the form of spiral cylindrical gears of 2.5-3.5 mm modulus. Second block has upper roll made in the form of catenoid and lower barrel-shaped roll. Third block has rolls equal in size and comprising continuous cylindrical carcasses. Fourth block has rolls of shape similar to that of rolls of second block. Fifth block has rolls unequal in size, wherein roll of smaller diameter is located above roll of larger diameter.
EFFECT: improved quality of licorice crude material which may be used in medicinal and pharmaceutical industry.
