FIELD: mechanical engineering; welding.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for electric arc welding of alloyed steels by tungsten or consumable electrode. Proposed activating flux contains components of following weight%:lithium hexafluoroaluminate 20-30; titanium dioxide 20-30; aluminium oxide 10-30; group of halide salts of magnesium, namely, magnesium chrolide 10-20, magnesium bromide 10-20, magnesium iodide 10-20.
EFFECT: reduced formation of gas inclusions, increased penetration of arc and stability of formation of weld.
