FIELD: mechanical engineering, in particular vacuum cleaner equipment.
SUBSTANCE: cyclone-type dust catcher has cyclone casing with internal surface, grid located within cyclone casing for preventing dust and contaminant particles separated by centrifugal force created within vortex flow from being carried away from cyclone casing, and member made from plastically deformable material and adapted for preventing countercurrent flow of contaminant particles. The latter member is connected with lower end of grid. Contaminant particles collector is detachably attached to cyclone casing and adapted for collecting of contaminant particles separated from air flowing through cyclone casing. Contaminant particle countercurrent flow preventing member is made from rubber material having Shore hardness of 40 units (40A) or less. Gap between contaminant particle countercurrent flow preventing member and internal surface of cyclone casing is 8-12 mm.
EFFECT: increased efficiency by preventing countercurrent flow of contaminant particles and provision for passage of large-sized contaminant particles around countercurrent flow preventing member and further into collector.
