METHOD FOR EARLY AND DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSTICS OF CEREBROVASCULAR PATHOLOGY IN HIGHLY IMMATURE NEONATALS Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC A61B5/26

Abstract RU 2294134 C2

FIELD: medicine, ultrasound diagnostics, neonatology.

SUBSTANCE: during the first hours of life with the help of dopplerography it is necessary to register rate values of cerebral circulation and index of resistance (IR) by detecting the initial level. Then comes the second investigation at the age of 24-48 h of life to analyze the alteration of rate values and IR. If during the second trial systolic component of circulation is not above 0.25 m/sec, and IR value is above 0.83 one should state upon hypoperfusion and predict ischemic cerebral lesion. The increase dynamics of systolic component of circulation by 1.7 times and more and IR value being below 0.63 should be evaluated as hyperperfusion and one may predict the development of hemorrhagic cerebral lesions. The innovation enables to maximally early predict and differentiate the quantity of severe hemorrhagic lesions in highly immature neonatals.

EFFECT: higher accuracy and efficiency of differential diagnostics.
