FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: there are information values determined: diastolic blood velocity in an internal carotid artery, average blood pressure and heart rate, uteroplacental malperfusion in a pregnant woman, to calculate a prognostic index. The derived prognostic index enables stating a risk of developing intraventricular hemorrhages in a newborn with extremely low birth weight as low, or predicting developing intraventricular hemorrhages.
EFFECT: method enables predicting developing intraventricular hemorrhages in the premature newborns with extremely low weight for the first days of life, and provides assessing a probability of a developing neurological pathology by assessing the information values.
