FIELD: navigation of ships; measurement of speed of sailing yacht heading into the wind.
SUBSTANCE: measuring and bearing fiber coils of interferometer are mounted on air and sea badges. Measuring fiber coil is secured on nose section of cylindrical sea badge and bearing coil is secured on side part of plate at radius changing with increase of angle of Archimedean spiral. Plate is secured on air badge axle. Sound pulse radiator is secured opposite bearing fiber coil. Thus, one coil of interferometer performs function of log and second coil performs function of meter of angle between wind direction and yacht keel. Electronic scheme makes it possible to determine product of yacht motion speed at end of angle between yacht direction and wind direction.
EFFECT: possibility of obtaining optical signal at meter output.
