FIELD: measuring equipment engineering, possible use for measuring drift parameters of sea vessels under effect from sea currents.
SUBSTANCE: in accordance to invention, on a substrate, provided with wind vane and cylindrical joint, and also a plate with side surface, made in accordance to Archimedes spiral rule, fiber coils of fiber-optic interferometer, equipped with phase-shifting device, are located. Object fiber coil of fiber-optic interferometer is located on nose section of substrate, while supporting fiber coil - on side surface of plate, in front of which impulse ultrasound emitter is installed. Rotation angle of wind vane under effect from sea current is measured by time-of-flight method by means of impulse ultrasound emitter and fiber-optic interferometer. Stream speed is measured by means of object fiber coil of fiber-optic interferometer.
EFFECT: possible separation of low frequency hydro-physical signal and high frequency hydro-acoustic signal at output of fiber-optic interferometer, possible calculation of downwash of current relatively to keel of vessel and value of its drift under effect of sea current.
