Abstract RU 2296948 C2

FIELD: device for measuring angular position of shaft.

SUBSTANCE: an attachment is fastened on shaft being controlled, side surface the former being made in accordance to Archimedes spiral. Oppositely to attachment, emitter of ultrasound impulses with beam directional characteristic is mounted. Fastened to side surface of attachment is subject coil of fiber-optic interferometer so that ultrasound radiation of emitter is received by it. Supporting coil of interferometer is positioned outside effect of emitter radiation. Output of interferometer is connected to period meter through amplifier. Ultrasound impulse of emitter activates operation of period meter, while output impulse of interferometer stops operation of period meter. For operation in air environment sensor is positioned in a sink with water.

EFFECT: increased reliability of operation of angular shaft position sensor under water in sea conditions.
