FIELD: navigation, possible use for determining azimuth.
SUBSTANCE: in accordance to invention, in dielectric body magnet is positioned on rotation axis and a disk connected to magnet on the same rotation axis. Radius of disk changes in accordance to Archimedes spiral. Object fiber coil of fiber-optic interferometer is applied onto side surface of disk. Supporting coil of interferometer is positioned in the body. Body is filled with dielectric liquid. Emitter of ultrasound impulse is positioned in front of subject fiber coil. Output of interferometer through photo-current amplifier is connected to stopping input of period meter. Activation input of period meter is connected to synchronization output of ultrasound impulse emitter. Time of expansion of ultrasound impulse from emitter to subject fiber coil of interferometer carries information about angle of turning of magnet, and therefore about azimuth.
EFFECT: prevented influence from amplitude factors on compass indications.
