Abstract RU 2295404 C1

FIELD: rolled stock production, possibly manufacture of cold rolled strips of given steel kinds such as IF-steels, including steels subjected to heat treatment.

SUBSTANCE: at rolling process before entry of metal to deformation zone and(or) at outlet from said zone magnetic flux with induction up to 2 Tl is passed through strip in parallel relative rolling plane or magnetic flux with induction up to 2 Tl is passed through strip in parallel to rolling plane and simultaneously direct current with density up to 0.2 A/mm2 is passed in the same direction through treated zone of strip. Apparatus for performing the method includes П-shaped electromagnet or permanent magnet with electric pulse control system for creating in metal induction up to 2 Tl at passing magnetic flux through it; DC source providing in metal electric current density up to 0.2 A/mm2; electric contacts; switching system; control unit for automatic adjustment of electromagnetic parameters according to predetermined kind of steel. Invention provides increased (by 10 - 15%) ductility of cold rolled steels.

EFFECT: improved ductility of cold rolled steels.
