FIELD: metallurgy; automotive industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to forging of parts for automobiles. According to invention, in process of rolling, constant magnetic flux, induction up to 2 T is passed before, after or through zone of plastic deformation of strip parallel to plane of rolling and simultaneously mechanical properties of strip under rolling are determined by means of pickups before and after rolling, and using automatic control system, value of induction of magnetic flux passed through strip is changed to maintain preset mechanical properties of metal. Oscillating motion along or across direction of rolling is imparted to magnetic field source. Device contains roll mill stand electromagnets arranged at one or from both sides of plastic deformation zone installed to provide sliding of strip along poles and passing of constant magnetic flux, induction up to 2 T along strip, switching system, pickup to determine mechanical properties of strip before and after rolling, automatic control system and central unit to monitor and adjust magnetic parameters and mechanical characteristics of metal in process of rolling, and dc current source.
EFFECT: possibility to adjust plasticity and properties of cold rolled steels.
