FIELD: microwave engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed bandpass filter designed for operation in ultrahigh-frequency band and in long-wave section of superhigh-frequency band has n sections, where n ≥ 3, made in the form of hollow metal cylinders with threads disposed on ends of their outer surfaces and with 1 opposing direction on opposite ends. Cylinders are joined together to form external cylindrical screen which functions as beyond-cutoff component in filter operating frequency band. Filter also has (n - 2) open insulating disk cavities, each being coaxially mounted in one of cylinders. End sections of screen are provided with end walls, each accommodating coupling component connected to central conductor of coaxial connector. Threaded joint of adjacent cylinders is made by means of additional hollow metal cylinder whose inner surface bears respective threads. Cylinder walls have longitudinal holes parallel to their longitudinal axis. Centers of longitudinal holes are disposed diametrically to cross-sectional area of each cylinder. Half of holes, such as those on unidirectionally threaded ends, receive metal rods protruding beyond cross-sectional area of cylinder end.
EFFECT: facilitated adjustment of multiple-section filter.
