FIELD: waste water treatment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sodium hypochlorite destruction technology when performing treatment of industrial waste waters containing sodium hypochlorite. Method consists in that aqueous sodium hypochlorite-containing solutions are heated to 50-60°C in presence of reducer, namely solution of triethylene glycol (3.0-4.5%) and triethylene glycol monomethacrylate, which solution is utilized in amount of 3-5 dm3 per 1 kg active chlorine. Such solution is available as of wash water from extraction stage in the oligoether-acrylates production process. On mixing of the two solutions, above reagents provide synergetic acceleration effect on destruction of sodium hypochlorite.
EFFECT: increased sodium hypochlorite destruction productivity, avoided gaseous chlorine emission, and reduced cost due to another waste water utilized.
