MICRO-MECHANICAL VIBRATION GYROSCOPE Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC G01C19/56 G01P9/04

Abstract RU 2296302 C1

FIELD: precise instrument engineering.

SUBSTANCE: micro-mechanical vibration gyroscope can be used when making those aids of measurement of angular speed of movement of base as vibration gyroscopes. Gyroscope has base, inertial disc with uniform thickness. Disc is attached to base by means of internal elastic suspension which is made of four elastic members with the same length and rectangular cross-section. Shape of elastic members has to be open polygon which is built of three sections being rounded at points of connection to each other, to base and to inertial disc. Elastic members are disposed in plane of disc in its central opening in such a way that internal and external sections of elastic members are placed at equal angles to axis of sensitive device. Gyroscope also has system for exciting electric oscillations of disc. System has excitation engines and angular position transducers. Gyroscope also has system for capacitive reading of output oscillation, which system has electrodes disposed onto base under inertial disc.

EFFECT: reduced non-linearity of primary oscillations; stability of oscillations; higher exploitation characteristics due to building of elastic suspension with equal hardness; high sensitivity.
