FIELD: pedagogical and medicinal diagnostics, aging physiology, orthopedics, curative physical training, mass sport, sport of the highest achievements, professional selection.
SUBSTANCE: human body flexibility should be detected due to measuring the height in standing position (Hst), height in sitting position (hs) followed by calculating the indices for total and local flexibility and detecting flexibility level according to the degree of correlation of the obtained values against the criteria of flexibility index evaluations. Moreover, For the purpose to increase the objectivity and accuracy of the method suggested one should additionally detect the value for forward lean for two legs (±FLt) which will be positive (+) if fingers' tips are below or further against the feet level, or negative (-) if - up to the feet; analogously it is important to detect the values for forward leans for the right (±FLr) and left leg (±FLl); one should measure the height above the floor of acromial (Acrst) and finger (Fing) points and according to the formula determine the length of hands (Lh): Lh=Acrst - Fing, where Lh - the length of hands, the coefficient K should be introduced K=1.12, and then one should detect the index of total flexibility at performing the bending according to the following formula: where ITFB - the index of total human body flexibility; Hst - the height in standing position, hs - the height in sitting position, ±FLt - the value of forward lean for two legs; Lh - the length of hands; Acrst - the height of acromial point in standing position; K - the coefficient being equal to 1.12. One should conclude upon local flexibility by the indices of elasticity of muscular-ligamentous system of posterior surface of right (IEr) and left (IEl) side of the body to be calculated by the same formula due to replacing FLt for FLr and FLl. Moreover, it is necessary to determine human body flexibility which should be evaluated according to actual level of the upper limbs gourd (ALULG), for this purpose it is important to measure total length of hands and the body in sitting position (Ls) and fingers (Fing) points, detect the length of hands (Lh) according to the following formula: Lh=Acrst - Fing, where Lh - the length of hands. Moreover, one should additionally measure the length of the body up to acromial point (Lbacr) according to the following formula: Lbacr=Acr-Hst+hs, where Lbacr - the length of the body up to acromial point, and the value of basic parameter of total length of hands and body (Lb) by the following formula: Lb=Lh Lbacr, where Lb - the value of basic parameter of total length of hands and body. ALULG should be calculated according to the following formula: ALULG=Ls/Lb, where ALULG - actual level of the upper limbs gourd. At ALULG value being below 1.0 one should detect low flexibility level, at values being equal to 1.0 - average flexibility level, and at values being above 1.0 - high flexibility level. The innovation enables to increase objectivity and reliability in estimating total and local human body flexibility.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of detection.
