SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of simultaneous mechanical working of coating being electroplated and driving part to rotation. Such process is realized in vessel closed relative to worked surface of part and filled with electrolyte. At first in non-circulation mode of electrolyte till asymptotic decrease of voltage drop and at further circulation mode of electrolyte, effort is applied to tool for plastic deforming by pressure no less than cohesion strength of deposit with part while reciprocation motion of tool at frequency non-multiple to part revolution number is provided. Apparatus includes unit for supplying electrolyte, anode and tool for plastic deforming of part surface. Unit for supplying electrolyte is made possibility of fluid-tightly embracing journal of shaft of detachable container inside which anode is mounted. Anode has several portions, each portion is spaced by the same distance from journal of shaft. Tool for plastic deforming is arranged between said portions and it is joined with drives for its reciprocation motion along lengthwise axis of detachable container and in radial direction.
EFFECT: lowered cost price of restoring part, improved resource of motor due to desired quality of restored metal layer.
