FIELD: engineering of measuring equipment, possible use for high precision control of level of substances at high temperature (˜1000°C and greater), may be used in particular for determining level of filling of free-flowing material (wooden sawdust, coal, etc).

SUBSTANCE: device contains active oscillator, included into frequency-setting circuit of which is a portion of coaxial long line, including external and internal conductors and end sensitive element, positioned in vessel with substance being controlled, and to output of active oscillator a level indicator is connected. Sensitive element is made in form of, positioned horizontally in transverse section of vessel, length of two-wired long line open at end, which line includes potential conductor and screen conductor, positioned respectively first above second at distance, which ensures synchronization of wave resistors of lengths of coaxial and two-wired long lines. Potential and screen conductors are made in form of hollow pipe, and one end of each conductor on one and the same side of portion of two-wired long line enters space between body of vessel and its external cover, while other end of each conductor exits to outside beyond limits of vessel cover. Between body of vessel and potential conductor on both sides of the latter a gap is formed, while internal and external conductors of length of long coaxial line are electrically connected respectively to potential and screen conductors of length of two-wire long line.

EFFECT: increased precision when measuring level of high temperature substance and expanded area of usage of device.
