FIELD: measuring technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measuring technology and can be used for high-precision determination of the level of a dielectric liquid located in a container. In particular, it can be used to measure the level of petroleum products, liquefied gases, etc. The expected result is achieved by the fact that in a device for measuring the level of a dielectric liquid in a container with two long line segments located vertically in the container with the controlled liquid connected to an electronic unit, one of the long line segments is made in the form of a U-shaped hollow segment of a two-wire long line, and the other in the form of a segment of a coaxial long line, the outer conductor of which is the inner surface of the two-wire long line segment, and its inner conductor is located coaxially with its outer conductor in the hollow two-wire long line segment, while the ends of the segments of the long line are aligned with the bottom of the container, the long line segments contain at their combined ends terminal horizontal sections of the same length, abruptly filled with liquid and emptied when, respectively, liquid enters the container and is removed from the container.
EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of measurements.
