FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: device for reactive power compensation of electric stock comprises a multi-winding voltage transformer coupled to a load, a compensator, a synchronising pulse unit, three current sensors, two voltage sensors, a rectifier, an inverter and an inverter control unit. The compensator is made as a LC-circuit with fixed parameters of inductance and capacitance designed for the operation of an electric locomotive in nominal conditions; the load is made as an in-series reversible converter and motor. The LC-circuit is connected in parallel to the voltage transformer, which through the first current sensor is connected to the network. An output of the first current sensor is connected to the first input of the inverter control unit. An input of the first voltage sensor is connected to the network in parallel and its output is connected through the synchronising pulse unit to the second input of the inverter control unit. The compensator through the inverter is connected to the first and second section of the voltage transformer secondary windings, which are connected through the rectifier to a direct-current input of the inverter. An input of the second voltage sensor is connected in parallel to the rectifier and its output is connected to the third input of the inverter control unit. The second current sensor is connected in series into the LC-circuit of the compensator and its output is connected to the fourth input of the inverter control unit. The third current sensor is connected in series into the motor circuit and its output is connected to the fifth input of the inverter control unit. An output of the first voltage sensor is connected to the sixth input of the inverter control unit. The first output of the inverter control unit is connected to an amplitude control input of the output voltage inverter while its second output is connected to a phase control input of the output voltage inverter.
EFFECT: increased power coefficient of an electric locomotive kp due to the maximally full compensation of reactive power by the simultaneous change in the amplitude and phase of the output voltage inverter when voltage is generated at the compensator capacitor.
