FIELD: the invention refers to noise silencing equipment.
SUBSTANCE: the exhaust noise silencer of a chamber type has a body rigidly connected with the end faces of the inlet and outlet sockets. Inside the body there are at least two partitions with nozzles placed non-centrally. At that one of the partition is installed aslant and is coated from the side of the inlet socket with sound absorbing material. At that the ratio of the length of the body L to the maximum size D of its end faces is in the optimal interval of values: L/D= 1,5...2,5 and the ratio of the distance "a" from the axle of the partition located perpendicularly to the axle of the body till the inner end face of the inlet socket to the length of the body L is in the optimal interval of values: a/L=o,1...0,7.
EFFECT: increases efficiency of noise adsorbing due to tuning of the chamber silencer by turning of the sound adsorbing element.
