FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: suppressor contains a cylindrical housing, rigidly connected with end inlet and outlet nozzles. At least two discs with holes forming chambers with holes are mounted perpendicularly to the direction of aerodynamic flow motion in the housing. The discs holes are alternately misaligned relative to the housing axis, so that the holes in two adjacent discs don't coincide. The housing is internally lined with sound-absorbing material, and the discs are lined with sound-absorbing material on the side of the aerodynamic flow movement. The body is made of structural materials, with soft vibration-damping material coated on its surface from one or both sides. Sound-absorbing ring elements are mounted on discs, each of which is designed in the form of rigid and perforated walls, between which two layers are positioned: a reflecting layer adjacent to the rigid wall and sound absorbing layer adjacent to the perforated wall. The layer of sound reflecting material is made of evenly distributed hollow tetrahedrons allowing to reflect acoustic waves falling in all directions. The basalt-based mineral wool with woven glass liner is used as sound-absorbing material.
EFFECT: noise suppression efficiency improvement.
