FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to internal combustion engines using hydrogen in operation. Proposed two-stroke internal combustion engine contains at least one cylinder with cooling jacket, piston and cylinder head forming combustion chamber., intake and exhaust members, spark plug, system to supply fuel-air mixture and source of hydrogen. The latter is made in form of electrolyzer whose electrodes are installed on combustion chamber with possibility of power supply to electrodes and freely passing of fuel-air mixture and products of working process in straight and reverse directions. Fuel air mixture contains either free water or specially introduced electrolyte (water solutions of electrolyte).
EFFECT: improved economic and ecological efficiency of engine in operation.
