FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to machine building, in particular to plunger engines that use hydrogen in operation, and may be used in propulsion engineering. Internal combustion engine comprises at least one cylinder with cooling jacket, plunger and cylinder head that form combustion chamber, outlet valve, spark plug, nozzle with cavitator and electrolytic cell. Electrodes of electrolytic cell are arranged with catalytic properties. At that one of catalyst-electrodes is arranged with the possibility of movement together with plunger and installed on plunger with the possibility of electric current supply on it via tray. At that the second catalyst-electrode is steadily fixed to cylinder head. Nozzle with cavitator is arranged with the possibility of electrolyte aqueous solution and fuel mixture spraying and supply into combustion chamber.
EFFECT: higher economic and ecological efficiency of engine.
